We report the case of a 57-year-old woman who has myasthenia gravis and non-small-cell lung cancer. She was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and underwent right upper lobectomy. The patient's condition was stable during 2 months. Then, she complained ptosis and diplopia without diurnal fluctuation. These symptoms were improved on intramuscular injection of neostigmine 0.5 mg. Antibody against muscle acetylcholine receptor was positive (6.849 nmol/L). In conclusion, when patient has symptoms such as ptosis and diplopia suggesting myasthenia gravis, previous lung cancer history or a primary thoracic carcinoma should be confirmed.
